The word from Peterborough

It's Friday night and we're safely ensconsed in the marina at Peterborough, having just returned from a nice meal at the nearby holiday Inn. The trip so far has been quite smooth. The weather has been fabulous (except for our having been caught on Balsam Lake as a very powerful wind and rain storm blew through last Monday. We turned tail and hid for a bit behind Long point before resuming our trip. In fact, we stopped art Rosedale and spent the night there as there were still major thunderstorms in the area. The boat has been behaving, as have Terry and Caja. We have been staying at the locks most nights today is the exception
I'm not sure if marina life will be the rule - there is a good blues band playing at the patio outside the Holiday Inn - we have a long day planned for tomorrow - no problem sleeping tonight, the wine will take care of that!!!!.
We will post some of the thousands of photos that Terry has so far taken once we get the downloads completed. Lots of pictures of ospreys and locks.
Our goal right now is to get to Trenton by Wednesday since Terry has her orientation at George Brown Thursday and Friday. The plan is to cross Lake Ontario starting on Saturday and completing the trip by Tuesday.
We'll be in touch once we are in Trenton and then again once in the US of A.
Chow for now.

Glad to see things are going acording to plan - not that I ever doubted they would. Make sure you touch base with me at some point soon so I can sort out flights to NY while they're cheap.
